AXI’s data center recently underwent a significant transformation, thanks to Benten’s expertise. In an ambitious project, Benten successfully migrated the network access of several customer environments to advanced firewall hardware, while simultaneously implementing pioneering Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technology. The challenges of this project were no small one. The migration required a deep understanding of AXI’s complex virtual systems, including Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) and Virtual Domains (VDOMs). These systems are essential for managing network segmentation and maintaining security within the data center’s multi-tenant infrastructure. Another crucial aspect of the project was the geographic distribution of the data center across multiple physical locations. This required careful planning and coordination to ensure that the migration was seamless, with no interruption to customer services. The introduction of SDN technology marks a turning point for AXI’s data center.
